Hospital makeovers in Poland
Four medical facilities in Poland were provided a fresh look courtesy of PPG DecoPoland and a group of university students. Hospitals in Lodz, Bialystok and Olsztyn, and a children’s clinic in Wroclaw received the makeovers. Students used Superlatex Classic and Sigmacryl Universal products and were supervised by employees from PPG Dekoral Professional Center shops and the PPG architectural coatings training department in Poland.
PPG Hungary provided $40,000 U.S. to technical schools for teaching programs for painters and paperhangers in 2012 and 2013.

Annually approximately 150 new students visit the PPG Paint Academy and factory in Budapest to get basic knowledge of paint manufacturing and to have the opportunity to become familiar with PPG products.
Grants have created a practice room for the students, enabled students to buy decorating equipment and also supported participation in student competitions. The schools are further developing their practice areas and sending their students to local European and Work Skills competitions.
PPG also attends and coordinates local competitions and has the opportunity to meet and build relationships with the students. PPG has a long term relationship with the schools. The goal is to give a great experience to the young painter professionals during their studies before they begin their careers.
PPG is also the main sponsor of the “Young Professionals Painter of the Year” competition.
